Sat Sept 25, 2010
Topic: Pseudoscience
Speaker: Dr Jerry Larson
Examining many examples of pseudoscience including chiropractic, acupuncture, and a number of modalities of alternative medicine, Jerry Larson will show why critical thinking is needed to tell the difference between pseudoscience and real science, and how to make that distinction.
Jerry V. Larson, M.D. is a retired physician who practiced internal medicine in St. Paul for 33 years. His interest in pseudoscience stems from that experience and the frustration of dealing with patients who often relied on pseudoscience rather than medicine for health advise.
